Inter-Company Relay

What is ICR?

Inter-Company Relay (ICR) is a project initiated by the Zambia Athletics (ZA) formerly called Zambia Amateur Athletic Association (ZAAA) in 1999 to raise funds to develop and promote Athletics in Zambia, through the Talent Identification Program (TIP), while promoting an Integrated Approach to Health Response and Wellness.

SPONSORS / PARTNERS / PARTICIPANTS / SUPPORTERS

ICR has relied on the financial support and goodwill of its Sponsors and Partners who want to make a difference in the lives of others especially the less privileged athletes in the Country to exploit their athletic potential.

ICR is indebted to its participants whose valuable contribution over the years has resulted in the growing popularity and attractiveness of this initiative.

From the funds raised through participation fees and sponsorship of ICR, ZA has been able to create three (3) National Teams, namely: the Junior under 18, Youth (18-20), and Senior teams above 20, both male and female

This annual event is epitomized by various races which include the 10Km relay race taken by eight (8) persons, the 21km Individual race, the 100m Chief Executive Race, the 100m Executive Race, the 5 Km Health Walk, the Kids Athletics, Product Display and Health & Wellness activities.
